MD Full Form is Doctor of Medicine. MD has been derived from the Latin word Medicinae Doctor. The duration of MD is 2-3 years where students receive specialized training in preventing, diagnosing and treating diseases. Students need to complete 5 years of MBBS course and 6 months of training in order to be eligible for the MD course. In 220 medical colleges in India, the Total no of MD Seats is 24,547. 

MD Admission Process is based on NEET-PG Exam. NEET PG Cut off Score is 275 Out of 800 for Unreserved candidates. Check: NEET PG

Top MD Colleges in India are AIIMS, King George Medical University, JIPMER etc. The MD Course fees are between INR 2,000 to INR 20,000. MD Course Fees in Private Universities is between 10 Lakhs to INR 50 Lakhs.
