M. Tech. Agricultural Engineering

M. Tech. Agricultural engineering is 2 year post-graduate program which is a study of various applications, techniques and theories used in Agricultural sector for better productivity of crops through design and innovation. Students learn the principles, theories, fundamentals required to design new machinery for agricultural purposes in ways that are easy to use for farmers and other laymen in rural areas.

The program aims at imparting knowledge of how to be able to perform skills like planning, supervising and managing areas like floods, drainage and irrigation systems. Students are taught to study researched data and perform relevant practices.

Students also learn to understand the nature and impact of farming practices on environment, which helps them create new schemes for reducing pollution and enrich the natural resources provided to us by nature. Students who have knowledge of product engineering, equipment research and designing along with good communication skills and can work under unfavorable conditions with pressure are most apt for M. Tech Agricultural Engineering.
