At first it was named as “Gopabandhu Ayurvedic Institute” and later on “Gopabandhu Ayurveda Vidyapitha, Puri” and again in the Year 1971 it was renamed as “GOPABANDHU AYURVEDA MAHAVIDYALAYA, PURI” . This Institute has been upgraded to the status of Model Institute of Govt. of India for its higher order academic activities and imparts teaching to U.G. & P.G. At present this Medical college is offoring UG (BAMS) couress on 14 different subject and PG, PhD, DLit , DSc on 6 different Ayurvedic subjects. This Institution has also been declared as Nodal Centre for Ph.D. (Ay.) study by the Utkal University from the Year 2010-11.

What is MBBS?

MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) course is 5.5 years undergraduate degree with 4.5 years of course study and 1 year of mandatory internship in various fields of medicine.

The course is divided into 9 semesters in which one will gain an overview of various MBBS subjects like anatomy, pediatrics, biochemistry, and many other subjects during the whole course.

The syllabus, prescribed in such a way that MBBS degree holders can choose a specialization for further majoring and practicing medicine. The career specializations for MBBS students are Nephrology, Cardiology, Gynecology, Anesthesiology, Organ Transplant, Endocrine, and General Surgery, etc.

Eligibility

  • Candidates must have passed Class XII/higher secondary/pre-university qualifying examination with Science subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Zoology/Botany. They also must have studied English as the main subject for their qualifying examination.
  • Moreover, candidates also need to fulfil the age limit criteria i.e. they must have completed 17 years of age at the time of admissions.
  • There are additional eligibility conditions as mentioned by the regulatory authorities for MBBS i.e. Medical Council of India (MCI).

BAMS or Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery is a 5.5 years long graduate degree that covers the study of the integrated system of modern medicine and traditional Ayurveda.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Students should score at least 50%-60% in Class 12 from a recognized board Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in Class 12, as compulsory subjects.
  • Applicants who satisfy the above qualification models need to show up for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and qualify it. Admission to the BAMS course is through a unified directing dependent on the NEET merit list.

Which Subjects are Included in BSc Nursing Syllabus?

BSc Nursing Syllabus includes subjects like Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Nutrition, Psychology, Pathology, Pharmacology, and many other related subjects. BSc Nursing syllabus is divided into 6 parts. The student must focus on all six parts equally. All the parts are equally important including General Knowledge.

All the parts of the BSc Nursing syllabus are stated in the table below. For this table, we have referred to the syllabus offered by the Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune. The subjects almost remain the same in all the colleges.
