The Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu will be conducting TNEA 2022 counselling for General Academic and Vocational category as per the released rank list. Further, TNEA Round 1 Seat Allotment is scheduled to be announced on Aug 28.
Located near Poonamallee, Chennai, Panimalar Engineering College is a Christian Minority Institution of Higher Education. The college is governed by JAISAKTHI Educational Trust. It was started by the trust in the year 2000 in accordance with the general policy of the Government of Tamil Nadu. It aims at imparting high quality Engineering education to aspiring youth.
The college is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi, approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It is also recognised by UGC with 12(B) & 2(f) status.
PEC was among the top 20 Engineering colleges in Chennai as ranked by NIRF and India Today. It is also ranked 6 for Private Engineering by ARIIA has ranked it 6 for Private Engineering. With the student to faculty ratio of 2:1, the college offers 10 undergraduate, 3 postgraduate and 1 humanity course.

The college has two boys hostels that have 148+96 rooms accommodating four students per room and two girls hostels that have 128+41 rooms again accommodating four students per room. The college also has a yoga centre that provides students with a healthy environment for doing yoga.
