R.K. (RAMAKRISHNA)DEGREE & PG COLLEGE-KAMAREDDY was established by the RamaKrishna Educational Society in 2002. The college, affiliated to Osmania University, Hyderabad at the time of establishment, was affiliated to Telangana University in the year 2010. Attaining an enviable position as one of the best colleges of Telangana University, RK Degree & PG College moved along to keep pace with the ever-changing global scenario. In the process, several courses were introduced, the latest being BCCS, MCCS & BBA in the year 2013. The academic programmes of the college are in line with its vision and mission. This institution offers 16 UG and 2 PG Programmes for the benefit of students, many of whom hail from the nearby rural areas. The curriculum for all these programmes is designed by Telangana University, Nizamabad. The admission process is completely transparent and the lists of selected students are displayed on the college notice board, duly following the Telangana State Government Reservation Policy and with the approval of T.U. The students are evaluated through tests and classroom seminars. Tutorial classes are engaged for the academically weak students. The performance of the students is informed to them from time to time and academic counselling is offered to them periodically. The students are mentored by the teaching faculty regarding the opportunities. English Communication Skills, Soft Skills, Computer Skills and Analytical Skills are imparted to all the students through Telangana Academic for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) batches every year to equip them with more employable skills. The NCC and NSS units organize extension programmes and instil a sense of social responsibility and community development among the students. Selected NCC Cadets participate in Pre-Republic Day Parade at Secunderabad and Republic Day Parade at New Delhi.
