The Rajkumari Amrit Kaur College of Nursing is a pioneer institute for nursing education in India and the South-East Asian region. The nursing college offers basic and higher education programmes. Established in the year 1946, the college is financed by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, and affiliated with the University of Delhi of Nursing.

PhD Nursing is a research level program, the duration of which ranges from 4-6 years. This course involves research in the field of Nursing for the betterment of Health care facilities. 

To be eligible for a PhD Nursing program, candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Nursing or any other equivalent discipline with an aggregate of at least 55% from a recognized university. Admission to PhD Nursing course will be done based on the candidate's performance in the entrance examinations conducted by the admission authorities such as JIPMER, AIIMS etc. Some colleges also grant admission on the basis of the candidate's performance in the postgraduate examination.

B.sc (Nursing)


B. Sc. Nursing is a four-year undergraduate programme focused on developing critical care, advanced thinking skills, proficiency and values necessary for the practice of professional nursing and midwifery as mentioned in the National Health Policy 2002.

BSc Nursing Syllabus consists of subjects like Physiology, Anatomy, Excretory System, Muscular System etc. BSc Nursing course is available in both govt and private colleges. BSc Nursing Fees in Govt Colleges range between INR 1685 and INR 30,000. BSc Nursing Fees in private colleges range between INR 20,000 to INR 2,25,000.

BSc Nursing Job opportunities include community health nurse, registered nurse, nursing superintendent, military nurse, and more. Nurses can expect to earn INR 2.5 - 3 lakhs as fresher, and INR 5 - 6 lakhs per annum for over 5 years of experience.
