Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics is an undergraduate full-time course in nutrition and dietetics. The course is generally of 3-years duration.. It covers the topics in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics Science and teaches its students how to prepare a proper diet for people, food management, components of a balanced diet, eating habits, and Lifestyle management, among others.

Eligibility

  • Candidates can apply for undergraduate diploma, degree and certificates courses after passing class 12 board exams.
  • Admission to 3-year diploma programmes offered by some government institutes is done on the basis of state level entrance exam.
  • Admission to certificate and short-term diploma programmes is done directly after candidates have passed 10+2 exams.

B.Sc Sericulture

  • The duration of the course is 3 years and is divided into 6 semesters.The course that deals with the rearing of silkworms and the production of raw silk is called Sericulture.
  • While there are UG and PG courses in the field, the UG programme, i.e., B.Sc Sericulture is most popular, and the competition for the limited seats available in this course are high.
  • The duration of the course is three years. Most universities in India offer a Hons course in B.Sc Sericulture while some universities offer the same with subject combinations such as Botany, Zoology, Sericulture.
  • The course covers topics related to various processes of Sericulture and Silk Farming. Through this course, students study techniques related to the rearing of silkworms to produce raw silk which is further used to manufacture silk clothes and products.
