Sardar Bhagwan Singh University has been granted the status of a University by the Government of Uttarakhand in the year 2018. The University is the centre of excellence in the area of Allied Health Sciences,Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, and Agricultural Sciences. Previously it was known as Sardar Bhagwan Singh Post Graduate Institute of Biomedical Sciences & Research which was the first and the oldest Institute of North India. This institute works towards providing quality education to the students belonging to Sikh Minority community, but admissions are open for all the students irrespective of their categories, caste, creed and religion. Since its establishment in 1994 the Institution has been constantly striving towards raising the academic standards. The University is governed by the society Gaurav Bharti Shiksha Sansthan.

B.sc (Hons.)


B.Sc. {Hons.} (Nursing) is a four year full time graduate course. Eligibility for which is 10+2, intermediate cleared.

Admissions for such course are on the basis of counselling after clearing entrance tests and other depending on the colleges.

The average tuition fees for Bachelor of Science [B.Sc.] {Hons.} (Nursing) ranges from INR 3,000 to5 Lakh for the span of 4 years. B.sc (Nursing)


B. Sc. Nursing is a four-year undergraduate programme focused on developing critical care, advanced thinking skills, proficiency and values necessary for the practice of professional nursing and midwifery as mentioned in the National Health Policy 2002.

B.Pharama


Bachelor of Pharmacy or B.Pharma is a 4 years undergraduate degree that teaches students about drug synthesis, dosage formulation, analysing the chemical nature and preclinical testing of new drugs. Apart from the technical aspects of pharmacy, B Pharmacy also talks about marketing of pharmaceutical products and patenting of new drugs.      

B Pharmacy Admission is done on the basis of both Entrance Exams as well as the basis of Merit. Various Entrance Exams such as UPSEE, GPAT, NEET etc are conducted to enroll students for B Pharmacy courses. The basic B Pharmacy eligibility is that students who cleared the Class 12 board exam with mandatory subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics along with 50% aggregate marks.

D. Pharama



ANM


ANM full form is Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery. ANM Nursing is a 2 year diploma course. It primarily deals with the health care sector. The course provides knowledge about setting up operation theatre, taking care of various equipment, maintaining records, and also administering timely medication to patients. There are a total of 1936 colleges for these courses, out of which 1615 are private, and 275 are governmental institutions. The total number of seats for this course in India is 1,00,930.

The required eligibility criteria for pursuing ANM courses is that candidates have to score a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in their 10+2 exams. Also, their age must not cross the 18-year mark. ANM Nursing Syllabus focuses on providing basic nursing and medical skills to provide medical assistance to the doctor or more experienced nurses.
